Strange things growing in pool

Tamara

Many years ago we bought some succulent plants home from Lanzarote. They had small multi coloured flowers with lots of spiky petals and were growing by an ornamental pond. They sat in water in our porch for months and eventually died before being planted. I’ve seen them on Fuerte. They had shoots which looked very much like the ones you posted. Woody base and soft growth. A bit like samphire. How about planting them and keep well watered and see what happens. I’ve been trying to find them on the net with no luck yet but will post pic if I do.

Thanks GSD Girl. I'm planning to plant some up if there are more in the pool when I check it tomorrow. I hadn't thought smallish plants, my mind had been on trees or at least, triffids!

Good news, no new growths today. Just wish I'd try to grow on some of last week's just out of curiosity!

Thank you so much to everyone who has offered ideas and advice especially Archer who has provided in depth help privately - you are all an amazing bunch of helpful people - and I have a feeling I may be calling on you for more in the future  Thumbs Up
