Identified a young man of 21 years for an alleged crime of extortion of 3,625 euros in Fuerteventura.
The Equipo@ of the island of Fuerteventura, within the framework of the "Ranan" investigation, identified a resident of Ciudad Real, 21 years old and without a record, for allegedly committing a crime of extortion, consisting of intimidating a person through threatening messages and audios, thereby getting her to make two bank transfers worth 2,125 and 1,500 euros respectively, not getting to make the third transfer since another person warned him that it could be all a hoax, in the municipality of La Oliva.
Occurrence of the facts
The Civil Guard was aware of a complaint filed last January by a man in the premises of the Civil Guard of the Main Post of Corralejo, stating the victim to have received threatening messages and calls from what seemed to be a pimp and / or hitman, requiring various amounts of Money for allegedly "having bothered his girls", and that because of this he had to pay the head of the extortionist various amounts of Money as a "fine" for such inconveniences.
The well-founded fear of the victim was such that he made two bank transfers to this person, for a total value of both of 3,625 euros, until he realized through another person that he could be the victim of a deception, and that he went to file a complaint for the facts.
