Arrested with almost two and a half kilos of cocaine at Lanzarote airport.
Nervousness, elusive attitude, those were the keys that made the agents of the Civil Guard detect these two people.
Indeed, the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard in Lanzarote, and the Udaiff of Lanzarote airport, under the functional dependence of the Administrator of the Tax Agency in Lanzarote, within the framework of the Titeroy operation, arrested on January 6 two people, one of 43 years and another of 34 years of age, without antecedents, for a crime against public health in its modality of drug trafficking, by carrying with him more than two kilos of alleged cocaine, hiding one of them in his luggage and another among his clothes when they were about to leave the arrivals area of Lanzarote airport.
This intervention was the result of the actions carried out by the Civil Guard at Lanzarote airport, aimed at prevention in fiscal and criminal matters, all after establishing a series of controls within the framework of a Police operation aimed at the arrest of mules entering the island of Lanzarote.
The behavior of the passengers and the elusive attitude, led the agents to inspect their luggage, locating a gray package inside the suitcase of one of the alleged perpetrators. The other individual had attached to his body and hidden under his clothing several capsules coated with a blue plastic wrapper.
Narcotest test
The agents of the Civil Guard in the exercise of their functions, once the wrappers have been opened and the contents inspected, they carry out the narcotest test, in which they were able to verify that it was a powdery compact substance, testing positive for cocaine, throwing an approximate weight of about 2,350 grams, proceeding immediately to the arrest of the two people involved in the criminal act, for a crime against public health - crime of drug trafficking.
Therefore, the criminals in this case, acted as human couriers trying to introduce significant amounts of cocaine into Lanzarote.
The proceedings along with the detainees and other evidence, were sent to the Court of Instruction of Guardia de los de Lanzarote which decreed imprisonment communicated and without bail for both.
