Arrested for stealing 42 goats in Agüimes.
The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Agüimes has arrested a man and a woman of 34 and 21 years, respectively, both with Police records, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force in things and a crime of theft in two cattle farms, stealing 35 machorras from one and the other 7 lambs, all of them still without crotal, accessing the properties during the night of last July 25.
The Civil Guard began the Police investigation following the complaints filed by the injured people on July 26 (machorras) and July 27 (lambs) respectively, denouncing that the authors of the criminal acts, to access one of the farms, had to fracture a padlock that kept the cable arranged to prevent the access of vehicles to the farms. In addition, they broke the fence and the mesh of an area bounded as a corral, where the 35 machorras were located.
On the other hand, in the second farm the authors agreed by jumping the perimeter delimitation of the stable where the cattle were, thus being able to steal the 7 lambs.
The Civil Guard began the appropriate investigations after one of the injured reported that he saw on social networks the announcement of a goat wandering through the area of the Cruce de Arinaga. Thus, he recognized his animal and was able to recover it. In addition, he found another of them in the same locality.
The agents, with the data provided by the complainant, carried out the pertinent inquiries and inquiries for the location of the alleged perpetrators of the criminal acts. Therefore, they began to carry out a search for the adjoining areas of the Cruce de Arinaga, since it was assumed that the criminals could be hiding the stolen cattle in that area and surroundings, where the two recovered goats had appeared.
Animals in poor condition
The Civil Guard carried out the appropriate Police investigations and the various steps to clarify the Events that occurred. In this way, they noticed the presence, in a bus stop, of two people with an extensive history of Police records (including the theft of animals) in a nervous attitude. They also found the partner of one of these waiting for them in a car, who were interviewing with another person, who had in the same place an adaptable mixed vehicle.
Later, the agents went to a ravine in the municipality of Agüimes and carried out a raid in the vicinity. They arrived at an abandoned well and saw the vehicle mixed with the two people who had left the bus stop. They had transported several goats from the well to the vehicle.
Finally, inside the adaptable mixed vehicle, they found a total of 13 machorras ready for transport. Also inside the abandoned well was located the rest of the stolen cattle heads, some quite weak due to the heat wave prevailing in those days.
The Civil Guard contacted the complainants, who recognized the animals stolen from their farms. As a result of the research, the animals were moved to the farm of the injured people, observing how the machorras and lambs went to their mothers and hooked directly to the udders to satisfy hunger.
