Arrested a passenger heading to Fuerteventura with 315 grams of heroin.
- This arrest was carried out as a result of the surveillance carried out by the Civil Guard of the Port of La Luz with the agents of the Customs Surveillance Service for the control of vehicles, travelers and their respective luggage.
The Civil Guard of the Fiscal and Border Section of Puerto de la Luz has arrested on April 6 a 47-year-old person, for a crime against public health in its modality of drug trafficking, by carrying with him about 315 grams of alleged heroin hidden among his clothing when he was about to embark on a ship bound for the island of Fuerteventura.This arrest was carried out as a result of the surveillance carried out by the Civil Guard of puerto de la Luz with the agents of the Customs Surveillance Service (SVA) for the control of vehicles, travelers and their respective luggage, focused on the prevention of illicit activities related to smuggling and drug trafficking that has been intensified by the large displacement of vehicles and people that are being taken in these summer dates of Holy Week.In the development of a preventive control, the Civil Guard made a random selection of passengers and vehicles that, given their experience in this type of operation, were especially struck by the suspicious attitude of a passenger who embarked on foot, which was made a superficial search of his belongings.It was at that moment when they found hidden among his clothing a lump with an oval shape and wrapped with a plastic film that contained inside a dusty and brown substance that, after being exposed to the narcotest test, tested positive for heroin.The substance seized yielded an approximate weight of about 315 grams and was immediately arrested for a crime against public health.In addition, the corresponding Police report was prepared with this, which was delivered, along with the detainee and other evidence, to the Court of Instruction of the Guard of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
