There is an article in the printed Diario de Fuerteventura today stating that La Oliva ayuntamiento is taking action to cancel the concession. Goodness knows how many years it will take to recover this land but the sooner the better to get rid of the eyesore that stretches from Oasis Papagayo at the top of the town right down to the top of the main town street. The burnt out buildings and 'attractions' are a dreadful blight - lets hope that eventually something beautiful results!
'The City Council of La Oliva begins the process to cancel the concession of the leisure macropark, of which it authorized mortgages that amounted to more than 30 million euros.'

You can download a pdf of the article, in Spanish. I've done that and translated it but it doesn't work very well - the columns go out of line, so I'll leave you to download and translate yourself or get hold of a printed copy (Spanish).
