Bather rescued at Playa del Moro

Radio Sintonia:

Assisted by a bather with signs of moderate drowning in Fuerteventura.

In playa del Moro, La Oliva, as reported by 112 on its official website and around 6:46 p.m.

 

Assessment of those affected provided by the SUC:
  • Male, 41 years old, who at the initial moment of care shows signs of moderate drowning, transferred in a medicalized ambulance from the SUC to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.
Services activated by CECOES 1-1-2:
  • Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC): medicalized ambulance and basic life support ambulance

  • Local Police

  • Civil Guard
Remarks:
  • At the time indicated above, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert requesting medical assistance for a man who had been rescued from the water with signs of drowning.

  • The 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.

  • The SUC staff assisted the affected person and took care of his transfer to the hospital.

  • Police services took over the corresponding proceedings.
