Antigua promotes the construction of the church in the upper part of Caleta de Fuste.
The mayor of Antigua, Matías Peña García, has shown this Monday morning the proposed location to the request of the Municipality ofthe Municipality, Heriberto Martín Molina , to build an iglesia in Caleta de Fuste.

"The place visited for this purpose, has been an unoccupied parcel in the second phase of Caleta de Fuste, an area in which the constructionof the new Deputy Mayor is planned, among otherdependencies alongside a new public square", explains the municipal councilor, "with the aim of energizing and bringing services closer to the residents of the upper area of El Castillo".
"We need a place to celebrate the masses that we have been officiating atBarceló Castillo thanks to the collaboration of the resort hotel, a solution in the short and medium term until resolve the procedure between the Bishopric and the City Council for the construction of an Iglesia in Caleta de Fuste, sued for many years by the parish of thislocality, "explains the priest HeriBerto Martín.
"Since we have set out toachieve this objective," says the priest, " the mayor's response has not been long in coming, showing the possible locations and consulting with the technical and legal office of the City of Antigua. the correct procedure to pray in order to finally have a Parish in Caleta de Fuste".
