More than 150 people in the cleaning of Cofete.
This is the tenth edition of the citizen initiative to clean the popular and spectacular sandy area in the south of Fuerteventura.
The City Council of Pájara, in collaboration with 'Limpia Cofete' and with Sonke at the head, carried out the tenth edition of the citizen initiative to clean the beaches of the Cofete area, an initiative with the participation of more than 150 neighbors and culminated with a paella party for all participants.
The Councilor for the Environment, Rodrigo Berdullas, thanked "the great reception of this project that has been carried out for a decade for the benefit of our environment and that is a traditional social meeting between the population of Cofete and the municipality."
Berdullas also thanked Club Aldiana, Club Robinson Jandía and Panadería Hermanos Rodríguez for providing the ingredients for the lunch celebration and chef Nico Stuwe González, who has been preparing these meals since the first edition.
Likewise, the mayor of Pájara, Pedro Armas, congratulated "the work of 'Limpia Cofete' and the many participants who worked for several hours to leave the coastline clean and contributed to keeping the environment and environment of the municipality free of waste and with the beauty that characterizes it.
