Corralejo New store?

Good morning, Does anyone know what is going on with the site they are clearing up near Mercadona Supermarket in Corralejo?

Lots of HGVs moving the large rocks for the past week.

Are you talking about the plot on your right as you come down from Mercadona? I've seen several CATs breaking and moving rocks and loading into lorries in the last week or 2. I don't think they are developing the site, it has been used for 'rock storage' for years. I followed one lorry (not deliberately!) and it went up the Morro Francisco turning so either for the new buildings they are doing up there or on to the quarry. But you never know, they may be clearing them to do a development behind Las Fuentes.

Talking to a friend who lives on Las Fuentes today and he says he has heard there are apartments being built on that plot. He's not seen any plans, no idea how many, so it's still conjecture at this point. Perhaps it's one of those developments announced a while ago that didn't say where they were to be located.
