#1
from RTVAguaCabra:

CLEANING SERVICES

It will be offered a space where you can deposit your belongings, oil, cardboard, appliances, etc., in the municipal offices of Morro Francisco

The City Council of La Oliva prepares a pilot initiative for the beginning of 2019 to test the operation of a special waste collection point near Corralejo.

Given the congestion of selective collection containers, especially packaging and cardboard, the lack of space to deposit oil, or the continued proliferation of household appliances and appliances in the street, the City of La Oliva is enabling a specific space in the dependencies Municipalities of Morro Francisco.

This space will be called Eco Punto de Corralejo, "similar to the Clean Point of the Cabildo in Lajares, but of municipal management". Councilman Works and Services, Oliver Gonzalez, explained that the formula for its implementation "will be a minor contract, three months, with the authorized waste management company Martínez Cano."

Although the competence of the collection of waste for recycling corresponds to the Island Council, from the City Council "we have considered necessary to strengthen this service from the municipal initiative", trying to "provide more solutions to the problem of waste in the municipality, and special way in Corralejo, which is the most active locality and is far from the Lajares Clean Point ". In this way, "the idea is to prove that this works, and continue with the project if it is well received and it shows that waste is reduced in Corralejo".

The City of La Oliva will soon inform about the opening hours of this new space, which will have spaces to deposit recycling waste such as paper / cardboard, plastics and packaging, household appliances, cooking and industrial oil, construction debris and private reforms (not professionals), appliances or appliances.
