Duo Lingo - Spanish translation
#1
Hi guys,
I am doing the Duo Lingo Spanish course on my pad. Getting there, now on a 22 day run  Big Grin  Must have started this half a dozen times already but it always dies when other things get in the way  Big Grin
One question if I may:
One of the phrases (in Spanish) is “De nada, duo” now I get the “De nada” bit, pretty basic but what is the translation of “duo” ?? If it means anything !! Google translator says same in Spanish & English  Huh
Cheers . . Ron

Pair, duet...could it mean ‘both of you’ in this context?

Duo is the name of the little owl cartoon character that keeps popping up, so you are saying "that's fine Duo" or "no problem Duo" .

Tom (on a 355 day streak with Duo).

I have been learning with Duo for a couple of years and find it a great learning tool, the only problem is it is based on South American Spanish where some of the words used are different. E.g. Carro instead of coche.

For complete accuracy it should be spelt with an accent  DÚO.!!  But I can be pedantic LOL!
I use Brainscape  https://www.brainscape.com/packs which for some unknown reason I prefer, but I do find with a lot of Spanish learning sites, words are often wrongly spelt, or even the totally wrong word at times.

I have been wondering of late, if it would be good to have a dedicated thread on this site for Spanish language bits and pieces.  Say for example we hear an expression in everyday life, which is not easily understood or translatable etc. and which someone here could explain?
