El Cotillo new school
#1
from RTVAC:

The full City Council of La Oliva, gathered this morning in ordinary session, approved the provision of the Government of the Canary Islands of a site where to locate a new school for children and primary in the town of El Cotillo. The plot, of municipal ownership, is located between the streets Las Llanadas, Hilario Marrero, Alfredo Kraus and El Faro, and has an area of 5,156 square meters.

The proposal presented by the municipal government group, with all the favourable technical reports, was supported by all the councillors of the plenary session, so that from then on the Canary Islands Government will continue with the necessary procedures for the provision of this center.

All the cars from the north beach areas will have to drive past the school. Hope they can see the issue here and will redirect the traffic elsewhere.

The Polica Local will probably look at it with joy - 2 more sessions of stopping all traffic and lots of waving and blowing their whistles as they do in Corralejo on the main road down to the port.  Wink

It is the same outside The School In Antigua Tamara, the Police Station is a three-minute walk away, but there is always a car parked there during pre and post-school hours, and very often in addition to the officer controlling traffic there is another one sat in the car Rolleyes Rolleyes Rolleyes
