The sporting challenge was not long in coming. As soon as the race began, the hardness of the first timed stage surprised the competitors. 6.5 kilometers with slopes of up to 14 percent tested their legs on the ascent to the Mirador de Guise and Ayose.
The second climb, the next timed section, was already faced more prepared. The ramps were still very committed, but the participants undertook them with more fortitude. Of course, the heat began to make a dent and the kilometers began to weigh. Hence the faces of effort, but also of satisfaction, when pedaling through some of the most impressive places of Fuerteventura, surrounded by the incredible white sand of the island and approaching the crystal clear waters of the coast.
Slight downward slope and more favorable conditions for the dispute of the first flying goal, which became the section in which the runners reached the highest speed, between La Oliva and Tindaya, where some cyclists reached more than 60 kilometers per hour.
The last timed section and the second flying finish put an end to the competition, to leave the cyclists enjoying the last 15 kilometers from Costa Calma to Morro Jable, where the emblematic Faro de Jandía has welcomed them at the finish line, applauded and cheered by the attendees as authentic brave.

Trophy also for the fastest, those runners who have reached the two flying goals, one in Tindaya and another in La Pared, in the shortest time. In the men's category the three fastest have been Julio Aníbal Gervacio in first position, Nelson Vera as second and Efraín Rodríguez the third place. In the women's category, Ana Belén Sendín took the podium in first position, followed by María Salud Morán. Tie in the third position between Safira Delgado and Yurena Alonso.
The technical director of the test, Ángel García, was very satisfied with the result, "we have closed practically 70 percent of the route, more than 80 kilometers of road closed, an achievement of organization and a plus for the competition and we see that people have been very very happy." García also highlighted the fantastic atmosphere of camaraderie and sportsmanship, without forgetting the high level of the competitors, "we have lived moments of enormous effort, sections in which spectacular speeds have been reached, a fan worthy of a Vuelta a España at the head of the race". A very positive balance that makes us think about the third edition.
