Father and son investigated for document falsification in a driving license test.
The Civil Guard of Las Palmas in collaboration with the Provincial Traffic Headquarters of the same province, have investigated two people of 23 and 52 years of age respectively, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of document falsification, discovering how one of the applicants was posing as another person, also locating in the vicinity the true holder of the theoretical test.
The Events occurred on June 22, when detecting in the development of the theoretical test of knowledge for obtaining the driving license of class "B" one of the applicants could be supplanted the identity of another person, since he showed a high state of nervousness and his physical features seemed not to coincide with those of the student
summoned.
Given these indications, the Research and Analysis Group of the Traffic Subsector of the Civil Guard of Traffic of Las Palmas (G.I.A.T.), carried out the appropriate investigations that led to identify in the vicinity of the classroom a person who corresponded to the one who really requested the realization of the theoretical test, checking how this did not correspond to the person who had actually taken the exam.
Immediately and following the inquiries carried out, the Civil Guard collected the identifying data of the person who had presented himself to the theoretical test, concluding that there was a relationship of kinship of father and son between them.
For all these reasons and as a result of these actions, we proceeded to the investigation of both people of 23 and 52 years of age, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of document falsification, delivering the proceedings instructed in the Acting Court of Guard of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Applicable
regulations Article 391 of the Criminal Code (Forgery of official document committed by individual). This type of criminal act can carry prison sentences of six months to three years and a fine of six to twelve months.
It is transferred that this action has been carried out within the framework of the assistance and collaboration provided by the Traffic Group to the Central Traffic Headquarters and its peripheral bodies, for the prevention, prosecution and reporting of activities that pose in themselves a risk to Road Safety.
