Radio Sintonia:
The Health budget includes more than 4 million euros for the medicalized helicopter based in Fuerteventura.
The Budget Bill of the Autonomous Community of Health in 2024 contemplates an item of 4,300,000 euros for a medicalized helicopter based in Fuerteventura, 'a historic demand of the island', recalled today on Radio Sintonía, the Majorero deputy Mario Cabrera.
'A medicalised helicopter, with autonomy, with its own health personnel on the island of Fuerteventura'. The deputy argued that 'in the last Legislature we were told that it was literally impossible, that we had to wait for the end of the agreement in force, which has two years left. Faced with this, what we were saying was that more Money could be contributed to the agreement and that is what we have done, to expand and contribute €4,300,000'.
The deputy made a public commitment to follow up on this investment from 1 January, that is, 'now we have to work with the Government of the Canary Islands to start the hiring and preparation of personnel and to be able to make this operation in Fuerteventura a reality as soon as possible.
