Hiking trail in Puerto del Rosario.
The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Sports directed by Juan Jiménez, launches a program of hiking trails with the aim of promoting physical activity and the enjoyment of the natural spaces of the island.
During the month of September, a total of four free activities of different difficulties will be scheduled. The first of the routes, of medium difficulty, will be held on September 10 in Los Molinos and people interested in participating can register until the 7th.
The following scheduled routes will take place on September 17 in Vega de Río Palmas – Valle de Los Granadillos-Pico de La Lima-Gran Montaña, of medium-high difficulty; on September 24 at Calderón Hondo Volcano, with low difficulty; and on September 30 on the Camino de la Cuesta de Antigua-Degollada de Marrubio, of medium difficulty.
The mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, encouraged all lovers of sport and nature to participate in these routes "with which they can enjoy nature and the impressive landscapes that Fuerteventura has".
For his part, the Councilor for Sports, Juan Jiménez added that "with these routes we want to offer a unique and enriching experience, while promoting a healthy lifestyle and raising awareness among participants of the importance of caring for the environment while hiking. "

The places to participate in the different routes are limited. Those interested can register by sending their personal data, indicating the route in which they want to participate, to the email puertodelrosario@actividadestafor.com.
