Discover the first images and teaser trailer of the Atresplayer series set in the Francoist concentration camp of Fuerteventura.
The ATRESplayer PREMIUM catalog will continue to surprise throughout this 2023. One of the next series that will reach the platform is 'Las noches de Tefía', of which we now present its teaser trailer and its first images, advances the magazine Fotogramas
Created by Miguel del Arco, 'Las noches de Tefía' is one of the series that will be presented at the 26th edition of the next Malaga festival. This new story will take us to a Francoist concentration camp, known under the name of Colonia Agrícola Penitenciaria de Tefía, one of the places where the regime sent those condemned by the law of vagrants and thugs and that, from the year 54, was implemented to also include homosexuals.
"On the other hand, the plot will travel a few decades later, specifically until 2004, where we will meet Airam Betancor, one of those prisoners, who is forced to remember the seventeen months of forced labor he suffered in that colony with just twenty years. The investigations of a documentary filmmaker who tries to give voice to the story of silence of the penitentiary colony force Airam to make a painful memory exercise that will cause many problems in his life, "says Fotogramas.
The memory of that terrible experience in the colony is mixed with that of the stories that one of his barrack mates, Charli, improvised at night to alleviate the miseries of the group. That comrade invents for all of them El Tindaya, a dazzling music hall where each of the prisoners has his own alter ego. A space of freedom in which, as its welcome theme says, the limit of the possible bursts when imagining.
The cast of the series is formed by Marcos Ruiz, Patrick Criado, Miquel Fernández, Roberto Álamo, Jorge Perugorría, Raúl Prieto, Israel Errejalde, Javier Ruesga, Luifer Rodríguez, Carolina Yuste, Jorge Usón, José Luís de Madariaga, José Luis García-Pérez and Ana Wagener among many others.
In the first preview that is shown of the series takes us to that field in black and white images, while the 'Face to the Sun' sounds. Prisoners are reminded that they are there for being "perpetrators of acts of unhealthy morals." While they endure this harsh and unjust punishment, at night they will travel to Tindaya, a place with all kinds of colors, where they are fully free and happy. This is how they face the reality they must endure during the day.
At the moment the release date of 'Las noches de Tefía' is unknown. However, what we do have is the first photos and the poster of this promising series.
