Have done this walk on several occasions...one day you can have spectacular views from the top and other days can be shielded in cloud. It's certainly gets the lungs working and the beers afterwards taste even better.

I took us about 3,5 hours going up and about 2-2.5 hours going down mostly because it was downhill. I suggest taking a plenty of water with you.
Here are some photos from the way up, and on the way down. The view was stunning all the way.
