The municipal swimming pool of Puerto del Rosario will reopen its doors to the public on Monday,
February 18, at the hands of Macrofit, the leading chain of gyms in the Canary Islands, which, in addition to reforming the facility, has turned it into a new and complete state-of-the-art sports centre . Thus, in addition to swimming lessons for children and adults, free swimming or water activities, such as aqua-gym, from now on users will have the opportunity to perform physical exercise "in the dry", in a modern macro gym that will count as much with rooms of musculation as of directed training. And is that thanks to the agreement reached with the City Council of Puerto del Rosario, next to the Macrofit municipal aquatic enclosure has built a new gym, with indoor and outdoor area in a total area of about 3,000 square meters, equipped with the most advanced equipment on the market in the field of physical activity and sports.
This new space of muscle building, functional training and cardio will be accompanied by up to three new rooms for guided activities, in which users can practice spinning, total training, fit & cross, pilates, zumba or Latin rhythms, among many other modalities designed to get in shape and enjoy the pleasure of doing sports.
Another important novelty of the new sports centre will be the schedule. Macrofit Puerto del Rosario will provide service 361 days a year and will have a wide opening hours: from 06:00 to 23:00 from Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 20:00 on Saturdays and holidays and from 09: 00 to 15:00 on Sundays. However, the first day of operation, on Monday,
February 18, will open its doors to the public starting at 10 o'clock in the morning. The registration time during the week prior to the opening of the centre will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Puerto del Rosario is the sixth sports center of the Macrofit chain, which already operates successfully in the islands of Gran Canaria and Lanzarote where it has more than 12,000 subscribers in its neighborhood centers, Castillo de Agüimes, Juan XXIII, La Ballena and Arrecife.
