February 13th we decided to have a drive out to visit one of the places we hadn't been to on the Island, what a lovely village Guisguey is well worth a visit and wonder round. Unless you want to take the track over the top to El Time it a one road in and same road out, the FV214 off the FV1 north of PDR.
A super model village on display and they are either late taking their Nativity set down after Christmas 2019 or very early putting up for Christmas 2020
Enjoy the photos -

Maybe it’s an all year round nativity

I visited Guisguey a good few years ago. One of the free maps with tourist info listed an old or historic house there which was open to visit. I went looking for it but couldn't find a thing.
It looks like Guisguey's become more interesting since then, must go back. I fancy walking down to it from El Time sometime if I can arrange a driver.

I also visited Guisguey some years ago, possibly around 2000/2001. I had a hire car and a map issued by them which showed a 'B' road (marked in yellow) going right through the village and on to somewhere else (possibly El Time). We got to the village, the tarmac stopped, the road became narrower and stonier, and narrower and stonier until suddenly I was in a barranco with the car surrounded by boulders! After attempting a 10 point turn I gave up and reversed out guided by my passengers hanging out of the windows and shouting instructions. I steered clear of any more 'yellow roads' on that map!
