In search of a solution to improve the situation of the residents of Resiplaya and Marlape.
The improvement of the ordering situation of the land and public services of Playa Blanca will be debated next Monday, March 27, in a motion proposed by the Government Group in the ordinary plenary session of the City Council of Puerto del Rosario.
Improve the well-being of neighbors
Playa Blanca within its original delimitation area, is composed of, according to the current General Urban Plan of Puerto del Rosario, three differentiated sectors with unconsolidated character (La Montaña de Playa Blanca, Resiplaya and Marlape). The non-consolidation of the land by containing unfinished buildings has hindered the implementation of public services necessary to satisfy the well-being of the neighbors, who have not been able to fully enjoy them for 35 years.
Although, in each of the sectors there are differentiated problems and, therefore, short, medium and long-term solution paths must be contemplated customized for each specific case. We understand from the Municipal Corporation the need to adjust to the social and demographic reality existing in Playa Blanca and correct with the legal and administrative tools that the City Council has the current urban situation with the aim of improving the lives of the residents of Playa Blanca.
The Government Group will initiate the appropriate administrative file of punctual modification of the current General Plan of Urban Planning of Puerto del Rosario for the adaptation of public services to the existing situation of the area.
The Councilor for Urbanism, Javier Ledo, highlighted that "the commitment with the residents of Resiplaya and Marlape to continue with the procedure initiated for the walling of unfinished homes and the effective closure of accesses in order to guarantee safety and improve the health of the neighborhood, carrying out all the mandatory legal procedures for it.
