The people who sit in the dock are the three who founded the cannabis consumers club, who held the position of president, treasurer and secretary of the association; in addition to a fourth person who worked for the club and who was in charge of the cultivation of cannabis to supply the members.
The cannabis club, whose name is summarized in the acronym ACCAMOR, was founded in 2017 as a non-profit association of cannabis users. But, according to the version of the Prosecutor's Office, the final objective of the association was to profit through the sale of marijuana and cannabis oil. According to information from the Diario de Fuerteventura, the Prosecutor's Office considers that the defendants acted with the intention of attacking the individual and collective health of third parties, and that they created the club under the legal form of an association in order to "grant an appearance of legality to their illicit activity of selling drugs".
