Reynaldo's in The Dunes
#1
Not sure where to put this tread lets start here in General.

I was at the Dunes yesterday and was asked where to get something to eat, so I went to point out Reynaldo's to find it had disappeared, buildings, flags, everything.  It was there 4 /5  weeks ago when I was last up there.

Any one any information? It is still on Google maps

The road being closed may have been the nail in the coffin. Hopefully it will reappear.

I would blame it on the road closure too. I can imagine how deserted it must have been over the time period. Let's hope the owners only decided to take a holiday and will be back soon.

Surely wasn’t all to do with the road closure then if it was still there until a few weeks ago. Unless they had decided that with the majority of the traffic taking the new road they were going to lose out anyway !!
Just tell me when I can retire   Cool

Not sure about that Ron. Whoever's driving straight to Corralejo wouldn't stop at Reynaldo's anyway, I guess.

I think it was the Spanish Costa's Dept who ordered that it be taken off the beach from what I can remember.

Seem to remember reading somewhere that the owner, Reynaldo?? had passed away so maybe that's the reason it's no more

I believe Reynaldo died in late 2016 the bar was closed until May 2017 and reopened under new management.
