I was booked to fly to Fuerteventura from Stansted on 2 May. I've just had an email from
Ryanair saying the flight is cancelled. I can apparently fly on 1 May at silly-o'clock or at the original time on 3 May. Great! This messes up the accommodation I've booked, plus the car hire I've booked. Why do airlines cause us so many problems?

And they make it damn near impossible to do anything about it, i tried to cancel/change the flights and it kept crashing, luckily i was able to accept the flight but not happy about arriving home after midnight.

I just requested a full refund, which came through in a few days. Then I rebooked for a day later, and the return fare was about £25 less.

They start out by putting the refund into your
Ryanair account. You can use that
Money to book a new flight and if the new flight is less ask for the difference to be refunded.
This way no reason to wait. The only issue is any extra moneys. I couldn't put the refund towards the transfer bus.
