Just looked at flights for our next trip. Ryanair mid to late August was ok but back in September was high so looked at Jet2. I was absolutely astounded to see that is I booked each way with them the return leg was advertised at £60 BUT if I looked at the return leg only with Jet2, the same flight, same day went from £60 to £175. That is downright criminal. I will take it up with Jet2 customer service but we shall see !!!!!

I remember seeing in the past a return ticket being cheaper than one way only. Most of the times with airlines like BA, Lufthansa, etc.

Captain I think even travels with different airlines getting better prices when he takes kids trips to UK It is supply and demand and the airlines, as are many hotel companies, computers are programmed with peak dates and Events etc to maximise revenue.

I have no doubt that your complaint will be taken seriously - they'll probably put it down to an administrative error - and then they'll put the return flights up to £175 EACH WAY ;-)

Update on this: Got the return leg with Jet2 for 80€ each. Didn’t speak to customer services as I didn’t think they would be interested or react positively so just tackled the web page a few times in different ways & got the right deal eventually 😁😁👍
