The Cabildo promotes the energy supply of the Lonja del Cotillo.
The Ministry of Industry, Classified Activities, Crafts and Commerce of the Island Council awards the works for the installation of a renewable energy system that allows the self-sufficiency of the Lonja del Cotillo, in the municipality of La Oliva.
The project aims to ensure energy efficiency and turn the building into an energy-sustainable facility, through 36 solar panels, with great power and energy storage capacity, with lithium batteries.
In this way, the project aims to achieve a transformation and energy improvement of the La Lonja building, which will have a positive impact on the environment while reducing the carbon footprint, promoting the use of renewable energies.
The installation will consist of 36 monocrystalline modules placed in series of three and distributed in three Strings of 12 modules each, which will be connected to two current regulators.
The execution of the works of this project has been awarded on March 30 to the company SEDANE 2000 S.L., for an amount of more than 73 thousand euros, whose execution period will be one month, and with a guarantee period of one year.

Tamara: I am translating La Lonja as the fish market/shed at the new harbour. Partly based on the pic and partly from thinking about Corralejo where the cafe attached to that Fish market is called La Lonja. If the Captain reads this post perhaps he could confirm or provide an alternative?)
