From RadioSintonia:
The pastor of the Modern Christian Church, Ángel Manuel Hernández reported in the late afternoon of this Friday, March 20, that the social services of La Oliva "have asked him to take over the management of the provisional shelter that will be installed in the Corralejo Sports Center to welcome homeless people. A measure is thus articulated that allows compliance with what is established by the Government in the State of Alarm and that states that citizens must stay at home and limit their movements.
The pastor said today on Radio Sintonía that these days food has been distributed to 30 people who are homeless and transit through Corralejo.
"We have started today the preparation with the assembly of a space for bunk beds, another for tables and chairs, and the transfer of all the material necessary for the proper care of these people, such as blankets, sheets, hygiene materials, etc." explains the head of the Mission, to add that "the feeding of these people will continue as we have been doing for a few days, which will be through bags with breakfast, lunch and dinner"
Finally, he points out that "the food is transferred from our facilities in Puerto del Rosario, where we have the kitchens and the appropriate personnel."
The hostel is scheduled to open tomorrow, Saturday, March 21 at 12:00.
