The Civil Guard arrests a person for robbery with force in three shops in Fuerteventura
The detainee carried out the robberies in three shops in Caleta de Fuste, stealing a total of 2,000 euros in cash and causing various damages to the establishments.
A camera captured the arrested man during one of the robberies.
The Civil Guard of Puerto del Rosario, on December 25, arrested a 26-year-old individual, as the alleged architect of three robberies with force in local businesses in Caleta de Fuste. The incidents, which took place on 21 and 22 December, not only resulted in the theft of property valued at approximately €2,000 in cash but also left behind a trail of property damage. The perpetrator, in his eagerness to gain access to the establishments, forced doors and fractured windows, causing considerable damage pending its economic valuation.
Given the seriousness of the facts, and as a result of the first incident, the Civil Guard of Puerto del Rosario proceeded to initiate an investigation, all in line with the intensification of the 'Safe Commerce' plan during the festive period. The meticulous work of the agents included everything from technical-ocular inspections to the scrutiny of testimonies and the analysis of the security recordings of the affected businesses.
As a result of these efforts, it is possible to outline the profile of the suspect, since it is possible to obtain images of the physical appearance of the alleged perpetrator, and subsequently, his identification when he is known by the agents of the Civil Guard, for previous interventions linked to the protection of Public Safety.
This led the Civil Guard to organize a search operation through a synergy between undercover and uniformed troops, weaving a siege that concluded with the arrest of the alleged perpetrator, on December 25, in the vicinity of the upper area of the Castle of Caleta de Fuste.
This event reminds us that, even in times of celebration, vigilance and citizen cooperation are essential to maintain peace and security in our communities.
Once the proceedings are completed, the detainee is brought before the Court in charge of Guard in Puerto del Rosario.
