Tourist rescued from drowning Playa Blanca

Rescued from drowning an Irish tourist in Playa Blanca.

The woman was swept away by the current and a bather saved her from a very complicated situation

A lady, a native of the Republic of Ireland, was rescued from drowning by a majorero on the well-known capital beach of Playa Blanca. The woman who was staying at the Mirador Hotel, saw how the current took her out to sea while she took a bath.

However, the quick intervention of this anonymous hero who was on the beach was key so that there were no personal injuries. The man, a native of Fuerteventura, made use of the OneUP Totem rescue device to help the victim.

The OneUP Totem is a pioneering object for aquatic rescue, as it contains a portable float that, on contact with water, automatically activates/inflates, forming a life bow.

In this way, when the emergency services arrived -Local Police and Firefighters- the tourist was already on land and safe, in optimal conditions.
