The president of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Sergio Lloret López, has pointed out that "from the Island Corporation we also support the hunting sector, not only for the hunting season but also to encourage the training of dogs, which is fudamental for the development of this activity"
In this way, the Minister of Sports and Hunting, Claudio Gutiérrez, has held a working meeting with the hunting societies to organize and prepare this year's season, coordinating the actions to be carried out, with the intention that hunters are always an active part of the management of the season, seeing and approving the calendars, as well as the opening of these training fields.
Gutiérrez added that "for this ministry it is important that from the opening of the training fields to the organization of the season we always have the collaboration of the hunting societies, in this way all the agents involved work together to achieve the development of this activity in the best possible conditions", Gutierrez says.
The use of training camps is regulated by rules that must be strictly respected. At no time may any wild species be hunted. The training must be carried out respecting the limits of the fields intended for training and always making use within the corresponding signage.
Likewise, hunters must not carry more dogs than those recognized by users and must have the corresponding documentation and identification by microchip for each of their dogs, presenting it whenever requested to the Environmental Agents, and / or SEPRONA.

Tamara: on a different translation site a 'sample' dog is a Pointer. And I'm guessing the 'haired' dog is a Podenco
New word for me this week - hurón - ferret. I was offered a couple of baby ones this week!

I'm probably being thick here but if there is a rule that says "At no time, the hunting of any wild species will be allowed' -what are they going to be hunting?
Also, where or what is El Coto de los Vecinos in Lajares? I'm not familiar with that name...

I think in the article they referred to the hunting within the training camps. I bet though that all those rambos don't stick to rabbits and squirrels only...
