You can display one of the following flags with identifying letters on the left-hand side of the number plate:
The letters, or national identifiers, you can have are:[/size]
The flag must be above the identifier. You cannot have the flag or letters on the number plate margin, and neither can be more than 50 millimetres wide.

[/size]
[size=undefined]You may need a GB sticker or a UK sticker to drive outside the UK. Which sticker you need depends on when and where you’re driving.
You do not need a GB or UK sticker to drive in Ireland, no matter when you are driving.

[/size]
[size=undefined]You will need to display a GB sticker clearly on the rear of your vehicle if your number plate has any of the following:[/size]

[size=undefined]If you’re in Spain, Cyprus or Malta, you must display a GB sticker no matter what is on your number plate.
[/size]
[size=undefined]If you’re still travelling abroad after 27 September, you’ll need to cover or remove the GB sticker and replace it with a UK sticker.

[size=undefined]On or after 28 September 2021

[size=undefined]You will need to display a UK sticker clearly on the rear of your vehicle if your number plate has any of the following:[/size]
If your number plate includes the UK identifier with the Union flag (also known as the Union Jack), you do not need a UK sticker.[/size]
If you’re in Spain, Cyprus or Malta, you must display a UK sticker no matter what is on your number plate.
If you have a GB sticker, cover or remove it.
