An investment of 320 thousand euros for the construction of retaining and conditioning walls in the Santa Inés Valley.
The Cabildo de Fuerteventura has awarded the project for the construction of retaining walls and conditioning of the public space in the area located on Calle Coronel, in the town of Valle de Santa Inés, within the municipality of Betancuria.
Safer transit
The project, registered under the Works and Services Cooperation Plan (PICOS) with the municipalities of the island of Fuerteventura, will be an accessible and safe solution for a road with a reduced width that will allow pedestrian traffic in conditions of greater safety.
With this objective, the construction of concrete retaining walls on the northern margin of the rural road has been projected. In this way, they will allow the cantilevered layout of a sidewalk of about 153 meters in length, to allow pedestrian traffic in safe conditions through space.
In this way, it is expected to correct the current situation and guarantee a safe pedestrian itinerary in the 150-meter stretch of Coronel Street that fords the Barranco de El Valle.
A contract of 320 thousand euros and a term of 4 months
With an award value of 320 thousand, the project has been awarded to the company Crispar Islas S.L. With an execution period of four months and a guarantee period of one year, affecting an approximate area of 1,854 square meters.
The approval of the aforementioned Plan and its acceptance by the municipalities enables and empowers the Cabildo Insular de Fuerteventura for the contracting of the projects and the execution of the actions, through the procedures regulated in the legislation of contracts of the Public Sector.
