Hi, after 18 wonderful years the time has come to sell our beloved holiday home. I just wondered if anybody was collecting clothes, towels or blankets for Ukraine? If not would someone point me in the direction of a charity that would accept any of the above as we will not be taking anything home? thanks in anticipation.

Hi,

St. James Church support the Work of Mission Christia Moderna in Rosario who support poor families and refugees on the island with a food bank, meals, clothing and much much more.

We have two ladies who deliver food to the Mission several times per week.  They have an arrangement with the Cat Charity Shop in Caleta where anything that can't be used by the Mission is 'converted' into clothing, which they then deliver to the Mission.

In 2022, they made 114 food deliveries, purchased €1,379's worth of food and delivered 1003 bags of clothing and bedding.

Donations can be brought to either of our Sunday services (10am Cotillo and 5pm Corralejo), or if you contact me privately, we may be able to arrange a collection (depending on where you are located).
