Beatriz is excellant
Just be aware that Beatrix has her limitations. She is dealing with the will of a friend who past away recently. She has dealt with the Spanish bank but refuses to contact a British bank.  Her reason, I only deal with Spanish institutions.

The widow now faces engaging another solicitor to sort out the British Bank account!!

When we done our wills in the UK, the solicitor told us straight away that we need to do another one in Fuerteventura. It might be the case both ways.
Sam, you are DEAD right.

Best advice is have a Spanish will for your Spanish 'estate' and a British will for your UK 'estate'.

In this case, there was only a Spanish will and the UK account should have been closed, but unfortunately it was something he just didn't get around to doing.

Her refusal to act on matters with UK jurisdiction represents the actions of a good solicitor. Lets face it, the con-artists out here will never turn down an offer of work/money.

The fact is legal matters are famously expensive, because every little nook and cranny has another expert that has to be paid for...  Confused

Quite simply, no UK professional institution would recognise her Spanish authorised law licenses, it is why changing country requires new exams for any such professional...
Just in case, this may be a second option:

Aguado Damsell Reguera S.L.

They are based in Corralejo. We used them for a sale and a purchase, our experience with them was good, they were precise and punctual.
I used this company for purchase and my  will , initially based in Rosario but now in corralejo

I can second ADR, we used Jacobo for the purchase of 2 properties and sale of one. On his recommendation we both made Spanish wills covering the Spanish property and reference our Irish wills for our Irish property and investments, and similarly in our Irish wills we referenced the Spanish wills for our foreign property.
