They point with a laser pointer at an airplane pilot in mid-flight in Fuerteventura.

The Civil Guard looks for the "fool" with the coordinates of the position where such "barbarity" could have been committed.

A complaint on the official Twitter of the air traffic controllers gave the alarm yesterday afternoon of an incident with a laser pointer that occurred on a flight from Gran Canaria to Lanzarote, as it passed through the north of Fuerteventura.

Pointing a laser pointer at an airplane is illegal in Spain given the enormous dangers it poses to both the pilot of the plane and to the passengers and those potentially affected in the event of an accident.
However, unfortunately these Events occur with some frequency in the Canary Islands, where air traffic controllers denounce as we say that "the unconscious or imbeciles of the lasers have returned".

Specifically, the controllers point out that flying from Gran Canaria to Lanzarote, and already flying over the north coast of Fuerteventura, flashes of a laser that pointed towards the cabin of an airplane have been reported.

Given the seriousness of these facts, a notice has been passed to the Civil Guard with the coordinates of the position of the person who would have committed this dangerous illegality.

It should be remembered that aiming with a laser can cause blindness in the pilot and this leads to a plane crash. The fine for carrying out this action can exceed 30,000 euros.

Utter disgraceful idiots. I'd love to see the book thrown at someone and for that outcome to be widely publicised so people know how stupid and dangerous this is.
