Thinking about replacing some paving slabs. How do we dispose of the old ones and associated rubble?
Probably the council skip site up behind Electron I would think Emmi, not aware of any other one
Or the council tip in Lajares if you are in the north of the island.
Or you or you could be industrious Emmi, when I had my patio in Esmeralda tiled, the builder kept all the patio blocks, I think the call them chapel blocks, then he advertised them for sale on Fuerte Facebook
The waste site behind Electron is nearest for me.  Unfortunately they are in such a bad state no good for man nor beast!! So got to go!
Thanks for all your replies.
The Punto Limpio behind Electron on the Risco Prieto industrial estate is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 7pm.
Is there a special skip/container there for such builders stuff then? I've been there before with massive amount of garden cuttings etc but did not realise they took heavy duty stuff like paving stones!
If you ask in the office they'll direct you to the correct skip.  The last time I took rubble there it went into a skip just outside the Punto Limpio.

I went there yesterday to take garden cuttings/branches etc.

For anyone who hasn't been there, there are separate places to leave:
Restos podos - plant and other green waste
Building rubble
Paint pots
Electrical items
Batteries
Small domestic items
X rays
Plastic
Paper
Glass
General waste/wood
and possible others.
If you have a lot to get rid of Emmi it might be worth you hiring a skip. Saves the wear and tear on your car.
Thanks Tamara, but really not enough for a skip - I am now thinking of just paving over the old paving- to save the hassle - not ideal but would do the job!!!
