Just booked a car with Cicar for our next trip and saw this written down in the confirmation page:

Quote:The total amount of the rental will be paid upon handover of the vehicle (the payment may be made in cash or with a credit card).

Nothing mentioned in the email, nor in Terms & Conditions so print the page (to PDF) once you book the car just in case, please.
Sam, I'm a bit confused. We use Cicar and have got a hire booked for December. We always pick  up at the Airport where we pay for the days we are hiring the car for. Have done this for several years. That seems to be what they have put on your confirmation, or am I missing something?
Not missing anything GSDGirl, it was just sort of news to me. But I wasn't able to find any info (RE cash payments) in their confirmation email nor on Cicar website.

Do you usually pay cash for the hire?
No, we don't pay cash always with a credit card but can't see why the procedure should be any different which ever method of payment used. Anyway, thanks for reply Thumbs Up . Don't want any glitches with our hire.
I booked recently for October and December visits and was surprised they did not take Money on each booking. I guess it is easy to forget thinking maybe you have paid, certainly done that with airport hotels before, booked months in advance. Thanks for the reminder.

The good ones (Cicar, PlusCar, Payless) never charge upfront. Wink Wink
