It looks like Electron have started stocking Dyson products.  Their new catalogue lists a Dyson cordless vac.

One of the best and most reliable items I have ever bought.  Worth every Euro.

I find for my office and house Vax products much more reliable more powerful and less expensive. Also the Dyson after service is useless. I have one of older hand held ones which is only used to vacuum the car, which stopped working about a month out of warranty and they tried to sell me a new battery pack which was expensive. My son looked at it and formed the opinion that it was the charger that was faulty, got one on eBay for a fiver and it’s working away since.

My only experience with Vax was a mains powered wet/dry vac.  It was badly designed and not fit for purpose.  We passed it on to a friend who was willing to give it a try.  He ended up binning it.

We’ve had our Dyson cordless vac since June 2015 and it’s used at least 3 times a week.  After 4 years, there is no loss in performance and battery life is still the same.  It’s perfect for tiled floors in Fuerteventura and has never let us down.

It’s good to see that Electron are now stocking them.
My one is still working ok since we got the new charger, it was the lady making the decision that I needed a new battery at enormous expense that peed me off, because if I had bought the battery I still would need the charger. And she was adamant it was the battery. The modern Vax bagless models are worth looking at.
I had to laugh when I was in Electron a few weeks ago.

They had a robot vacuum cleaner working in the customer service area.  When it moved close to the automatic entrance doors, they opened and it escaped and started vacuuming the car park!  Pandemonium ensued briefly until a member of staff retrieved it.
I’d love to have seen that. They need a sign saying Beware of the escaped Vacuum cleaner.
Or was it the reincarnation of Freddie Mercury singing “I want to break free”.
I love it, can just imagine it in the car park and staff chasing after it.  Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin
