EasyJet hold bags and sports equipment now just 99p each - Mia - 12-04-2020

I have received an email from EasyJet about reduced price of  hold luggage so just wanted to share it with you:

Whether you’re dreaming of being up in the mountains or diving in freshwater lakes, when the time comes to explore again, nothing beats the great outdoors. To help you make the most of your adventure, we’ve made all check-in bags just 99p. Plus, we’ll fly your sports equipment for 99p too, so you can pack your bike, clubs, surfboard or skis and make your next getaway one to remember. Simply book before Friday 17th April 2020.

Customers who make an EasyJet flight booking between 10/04/2020 and midnight on 16/04/2020 (the 'offer period') can add sports equipment or hold bags (“items”) for 99p each or currency equivalent.  Offer applies to all EasyJet flights from June 1st 2020 out to the end of our current schedule.  Items must be added to the booking during the offer period. Additional fees will apply for any items added after the offer period.  Customers can add items online during the booking process or via Manage Bookings on EasyJet.com or on the mobile app. Fees for extra weight, other fees and all restrictions on sports equipment, baggage and dangerous goods continue to apply. Please see our baggage policy and terms and conditions for more details.

Stay Safe Wink

You can add 99p bags to an existing booking  Smile The email suggests that it's only for new bookings.

We never buy the check-in bags till the last minute, as we understand that the fee is non-refundable in a cancellation, so it's less to lose. Please tell us if we're wrong. Also, the Money is better off in our bank than EasyJet's.

We were going to try using only one check-in bag and two carry-ons this time, but, for only 99p have paid for 2 check-ins each way.

The whole booking has been a saga - travel out 30 Sept, easy. Return 28 Oct, had to wait for the new schedule to come out, so 2 bookings.
Plus, we're flying back from Lanzarote, as we're trying a week at Finca Del Mar as well.
Already got agreement to leave the car on the other Island airport.

Baggage fee is non refundable if a customer makes any changes: Baggage fees will not be refunded once paid, even where you do not carry the items or weight paid for or where you cancel or change your flight. However if you change your flight, your paid Baggage allowance will apply to your new flight.

If EasyJet cancels the flight a full refund including baggage fees should be given: If we cancel your flight you can transfer to another available EasyJet flight to the same (or a nearby) destination for free, or if you prefer you can get a full refund.
