5 Oceanos (frozen foods) PDR & Corralejo
#1
Opened this year in Puerto and another one in Corralejo.

Great selection of frozen foods including items that are loose so you can shovel what you want into a bag! The legs of lamb are good as was the piece of beef I tried! I especially like the loose frozen fruits - good variety. Selection of natural ingredients ice lollies.

In a row of shops in Puerto that includes a café that sells the most amazing pastries and cakes!

Thanks for bringing this place to my attention.
Popped in yesterday for some white fish for today's fish pie.
Was tempted by the lobster/crayfish tails but at 47e a kilo
I thought better of it....

47e per kilo..... that's cheaper than that guy sells Turkish Delight for in the Rotundas.  Confused

Sam,
I reckon you would get maybe eight tails for a kilo so 6 Euro per tail seems about right to me.
Expensive I know but they are pricey wherever you go in the world.
If I could get them for 4 or 5 Euro a kilo I'd be eating them three times a day.....

I got caught there last year. My mind was elsewhere and before I realised I had paid 12€ for 2 little Turkish cake/pastries. (They were nice though!)

Can't say that I noticed one way or the other but I'll have a look next time I'm nearby. Anyone else going in the next few days who could check?

Re 5 Oceans, we have been there today, and the short answer on large packs of bacon is no, in fact, the only bacon appeared to be small packs of presliced streaky bacon.
