#1
A friend from the Lakes has messaged me to ask best way to transfer from the airport to Costa Calma  what do fellow members suggest?  They arrive on a Friday at mid-day.

Thanks in anticipation

I have used a company called Hoppa in the past, found them very reliable and when booking return transfers they send you an email to confirm pick up, destination and time of arrival the day before departure. Google Hoppa and have a look at their website ,prices very reasonable.

The shared bus transfers are OK, and would probably cost about £15 a head return, but are quite slow and would probably take around 2 hours to get to Costa Calma.  Assuming there's 2 of them, that's £30 return.    I've used Holiday Taxis shuttles in the past, rather cheaper than Hoppa.

Have they considered hiring a car at the airport?  It's about £80 a week, and that would give them much more flexibility to enjoy the south of the island.  Costa Calma is a fairly dead place to be stranded in.

I would agree. Car hire can be very cheap out of season, and is more economical than paying for 2 x return transfers. And you get away quickly, no waiting. That's got to be worth a premium.

The number 3 bus runs from Rosario to Caleta via the airport at half hourly intervals with 15 minute intervals during most of the day on Mondays to Fridays.
It is cheap, reliable and has a very large and convenient luggage space below the floor.

I'm sure that's true, but the people want to go to Costa Calma! Wink
