2025 booked

Booked for 2025

Just booked the H10 Esmerelda for next year. We had a couple of visits to the area in October and liked the beach. Looking at trip advisor, this caught my eye causing some amusement. I could just imagine her copy of the Sun being ripped up in anger

Pool and Surroundings
The pool was freezing cold, which was disappointing as it limited our enjoyment. What was truly shocking, though, was the behavior around the pool area—people were openly getting changed, which we found absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. It’s baffling how this is allowed in a hotel claiming to be 4-star.

She is lucky that they were actually changing into something

We're also booked already for next year, September.

TripAdvisor reviews of places in Fuerteventura can be hilarious - usually things like "be warned, there are nudists on the beach". People choose to go to an island famed for its naturist beaches, then grumble about seeing nudists.

Especially if you have young children

What the heck do they feel is going to happen to them. PTSD? Apart from the cost, why do they think I book my holidays in term time? I like peace & quiet not screaming kids.

Found an even better one for the Robinson in Esquinzo . To be honest the writer had a large complaint box and did not seem like your average Robinson guest. Its full of Germans by all accounts Smile The were a studious observer of "Swinging bits" though

The hotel looks next to the beach, but is on a cliff top and so the trek down and then back up is hard. When you get there you discover it’s a nudist beach. My teenage daughter was horrified and did not want to go anywhere near the water sport centre down there. TUI state this is how all beaches are in Spain, but we visited others on the island and none had old men swinging their bits walking along the shore line like this one did.

Isn't it sad that the comment was that their teenage daughter was "horrified"? Wouldn't she have seen this as some sort of rite of passage? Was she really not aware that guys have penises?

It's not just the island.

There are bizarre reviews/comments about everything.

I still think the mother complaining her new born saw a bare breast on the beach was the funniest. That was a complaint about mainland Spain.

Since when do babies not like breasts?

We have booked our first but hopefully not last visit to Fuerteventura for March 2025 , no accommodation booked yet but thinking Esquinzo / MorroJable area . Looking for an apartment rather than a hotel , where we got a short walk to the beach and we can strip off . We are fairly new to this but can’t wait to experience it , where would be better with fewer textiles ? Any help much appreciated. Ps I know we obviously got google etc but you can’t beat first hand experiences 😊

The Monte Marina naturist apartments are in Esquinzo. A German owned gated complex that shared a reception with the adjacent textile Marina Playa apartment hotel. The MM complex consists of simple clean apartments with very well kept grounds inc pool, sauna and a cold water jacuzzi of sorts. This is a nice sheltered area on windy days if you don’t fancy a sand blasting on the beach.
The beach, like others on Fuerteventura, is cloths optional so there is no control on who uses it. However it is not crowded and you can find quiet spots or sections popular with naturists without too much walking. The trek back up the cliff is a bit of a pain though.
I would recomend a hire car if staying here

BHH Naturist Resort in Costa Calma might suit your wishes. I have not been there, but have read positive comments.

I have booked a round-trip in February to TAO Caleta Mar, KN Matas Blancas and SBH Paraiso Playa.

Yes, I'd agree a hire car is fairly essential if staying in the Esquinzo area. To avoid having to use the steep stairway to the beach at Monte Marina, you can drive into the vacant lot just north of the hotel and there's a winding track which takes you down to a decent car park right next to the beach.

Having a car also lets you visit the beaches just to the north - Mal Nombre (with a good beach bar), El Salmo and, best of all, Sotavento. These beaches are predominently naturist.

TAO Caleta Mar used to be a naturist hotel called Gran Hotel Natura and it's ideally located right next to the beach. I believe it has some naturist sunloungers on the roof terrace.

KN Matas Blancas used to have a naturist roof terrace but apparently this has been closed.

SBH Paraiso Playa has no on-site naturist facilities but has a steep staircase down to the beach, where you can wander naked for miles. The hotel itself is now rather old and tired.

BHH offers self-catering apartments, with no on-site catering. There's limited space around the pool for sunloungers, and this may become more of a problem once the 2 new "ecopods" are in use, adding another 4 people.

A hire car is pretty well essential if you want to maximise the opportunities of your trip.
