Built in wardrobes
#1
We have moved to another villa but it does not have any built in wardrobes, although the 'alcoves' are there.
Does anyone have any recommendations for who makes and fits these please, apart from IKEA?

Perhaps we've had bad luck, but any built in wardrobe which makes use off an external wall (especially north facing) are prone to damp/mildew/mould.  We've had to keep the doors open and/or use dehumidifiers.

What about the kitchen place on the estate where Ikea are, very often kitchen places do wardrobes also. At least in Ireland they do.

Hi Can. Good reminder. The kitchen place (can't remember it's name) next to the Marble warehouse on the Ikea estate had built-in wardrobes in the show rooms upstairs several years ago when we were looking.
I'd second the comments about not putting built in wardrobes on exterior walls - everyone I've come across has had damp problems.

Just remembered the shop name - it's Altagracia.

Thanks. Yes we went in there yesterday and they still do them. Unfortunately the only 'trim' they do is brushed aluminium (despite many of the display pieces showing alternatives) and BH is not keen.

I see Groupon have an ad for what looks like a good product. Not sure what countries it’s available in.
