Button for first unread post in a thread?

I use another forum (Celica Club UK) which has a facilty where you can jumpt to the lat unread post in a thread.
If you click on the on the thread name, you get taken to the first post in that thread.  If you click on the button beside the name (which is either blank - no new posts, or coloured - new posts) it takes you to the last post that you have not read

I find this useful.

Do you mean something like the orange "New" clickable button next to the thread title in my screenshot?    

Once clicked on, it does take you to the first unread message in each thread.

Yep, been there almost since the beginning. Spent quite a bit of time to make sure it's big enough to be seen. Forgot to explain how it worked, possibly ended up being the only one using it. 🤣🤣🤣
