In October of last year, the pilot experience of the "Prior Appointment" service was implemented to file a criminal or administrative complaint or carry out any non-urgent procedure in six positions of the commands of Madrid, Alicante and Almería.
Given the complexity of the generalized extension of this service to the entire Civil Guard, the pilot experience was extended in March of this year to the main positions of these commands and some ordinary positions, reaching a total of 54 Posts of the Civil Guard.
Given the good results obtained throughout this period of time, the Civil Guard expands this service to reach a total of 261 Posts in 43 provinces, including the Main Post of Corralejo and Main Post of Morro Jable, in Fuerteventura.
The appointment service in the citizen service offices allows you to book from the official website www.guardiacivil.es a personal attention shift in the offices of the Civil Guard of the pilot units, either for the presentation of complaints or for the realization of any other non-urgent procedure that can be carried out in a position.
Among the purposes pursued by this initiative is to avoid delays in waiting to be attended, and to offer people better care, by putting at their disposal a specialized agent to their specific need for the necessary time, also respecting hygienic-sanitary practices, by avoiding unnecessary crowds in the dependencies.
This service is not recommended in cases where it is not advisable to postpone a complaint, such as crimes in which violence or intimidation has been used; where there is an author who can be recognized by the victim or witnesses; the disappearance of persons; when the victim of the crime is an unemancipated minor or a person with a disability; whether the offence is being committed or has just been committed; or has occurred in buildings with scaling, fracture of windows, doors, walls, etc; as well as in the case of Events that require the prompt presence of agents at the scene of the Events.
Complemented by the presentation of the electronic complaint through the official website, the appointment service will help to expedite the procedures and the time spent in the ratification of the same in the offices of attention to the citizen.
This project joins two modern systems put in place by the Civil Guard to facilitate citizen attention: the aforementioned electronic complaint, and the "prior appointment" of the Weapons and Explosives Interventions.
