Covid 19 & UK Passport Renewal

There were a number of reasons we returned to the UK, one of the main ones was I needed to renew my passport as it had less than 6 months on it.

There has been a lot of posts on the web about how long it has been taking to renew passports, not so in my case.

Monday July 27th having read all the instructions completed the application online submitting an online photo complying with the rules and it does take some doing to get the right image. Had an email to confirm receipt of application and pointing out they would be checking the phot and that I should return my old passport.
Wednesday July 29th post off old passport, received another email August 1st to confirm receipt of old passport.
August 5th another email to confirm my application has been approved and is being printed.
August 6th. less than 11 days from original application, another email indicating my passport is on its way with TNT
August 11th Passport arrived and if I had any issues it is with TNT as the tracking system didn't seem to work plus the driver couldn't find our house, dam Sat Nav.

IMHO a great service and I have no complaints with HM Passport Office.

Glad to hear all worked well out for you and congrats to your new Black (the darkest shade of) Blue Passport.      

Got ours in June, Sam - still got the maroon ones!
