El Luchador - Valles De Ortega
#1
OK, been here a few times, first time being the Ruta de la Tapas last June.
Have only ever had Tapas (starters on the menu) so far. Not the cheapest but quality is good and the portions are very generous.
Went yesterday with friends. Had seven starters (doubling up on the papas arrugadas was a mistake as huge portions) and bread/alioli, bottle of red wine, water, 2 whiskies, 3 coffees, for just over €60.
Never eaten in the main restaurant, always the covered terrace area.

Address: Calle Gairia, 16, 35638 Valles de Ortega

Open: 12-11pm Tuesday to Thursday, 12-12 Friday and Saturday, 12-5pm Sunday. Closed Monday.

Yes, it is. I understand that the old one is now under new management as well. Went there for a drink the other week.

We have been in both. They were both good. Our house is actually in the town about a five minute walk from them.
We tried the new one last year not long after it opened. It is huge inside, the entry area at the bar is not so big but then opens into this huge dining area, must have 50 tables !! All brand new stuff as well.

Food was very good as you said & staff very nice as well. Limited English but pigeon Spanish, pigeon English & Google translate got us there  Big Grin
Been in the other one a few times as well, you tend to get a few stares as not too many tourists in Valles but still all good
Great to have a couple of local places so we can wander down & I can have a drink & not have to drive
