After living and working on Fuerteventura since 2003, we are hoping to move on to the next stage of our lives and buy a narrowboat in the UK so that we can continually cruise the canal network there.
The last year has shown that we can semi-retire and also teach Spanish students online.

Wow John Stephen that is really exciting news. Our daughter is a continuous cruiser but concentrates her time around Hackney Wick being an artist.
We keep ours at Mercia Marina which we highly recommend.
Edit, Sam.

Mercia Marina is just down the road from me.
I think I'd stick with Fuerte

Good luck with the house sale, it looks lovely.
Are you by any chance a fan of The Damned?

No, nothing to do with The Damned and the lead singer. It was a name I chose 18 years ag0 when I joined the other Fuerteventura Forum as I attempted to give sensible replies to people's questions rather than some of the other comments that were given.
I'm not a captain either.

Good luck with both your house sale and your future plans Stephen, I recall Jonathan telling me a few years back that it was what you intended to do

That's interesting, Perry.
We called into Mercia Marina a couple of years ago for diesel.
We've regularly taken holidays on a narrowboat, and in 2019 and 2020 we hired for one month - very pricey but we had a memorable times doing the Four Counties Ring, the Cheshire Ring, the Llangollen and into Liverpool.
