#1
from Radio Sintonia:

The "necessary work" of the breakwater of Giniginámar obtains the support of the senator of Fuerteventura.

The mayor of Tuineje, Esther Hernández, has met with the senator for Fuerteventura, Paloma Hernández. The meeting was also attended by the first deputy mayor, Rita Díaz, and the councilor for Beaches, Vicente García. The meeting served to review the issues of state competence that affect the municipality of Tuineje. With the accent placed on the breakwater of Giniginámar, there has also been talk of the recent concession of the State to the City Council for the exploitation of beach services in the four main beaches of the municipality, which will allow to put out to tender the exploitations of sectors of hammocks and restoration.

The breakwater of Giniginámar, which has been talked about for years and that already the last legislature the then municipal government did not take advantage of the emergency declaration of that time to address "the necessary work", says the current municipal corporation. The senator has pledged to work on the matter before the Government of Spain.

In this sense, a meeting has been proposed with the deputy director of Coasts, belonging to the Ministry of Ecological Transition, with which to address the situation of the file and "give it the necessary impetus so that the work goes ahead and the coast of Giniginámar has a breakwater that protects the town from the onslaught of the sea", Mayor Esther Hernandez points out.

The senator for Fuerteventura, Paloma Hernández, has emphasized that "the cooperation of the Government of Spain is full and as a senator I will follow up and cooperate with the City Council, so that we can get the works of the breakwater to be carried out".

"We have been developing actions so that the coastal towns of the municipality live more facing the sea, in this sense, the possibility of creating sectors on our beaches will allow us to revitalize the areas in a sustainable way," says Vicente García, Councilor for Beaches.
The senator also announced that the Government of Spain has granted authorization for the project of the improvement front of the Tarajalejo pier, which will allow to have a safer dock; an action that the residents of the town have been demanding and with the local government has shown its sensitivity.
